I've read about so many people having hot/dead pixels on their D7000 when shooting a video, but I honestly have no idea how to check that out at a store from that tiny LCD screen. I'm actually mostly concerned about the video. BUT law of statistics says you are going to have dead pixels and/or will get some more in the life of your camera. If you have to test it you don't have a problem!!!! Look at the photos.
